F.C. Paços de Ferreira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Argider was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Rigoberto Argider came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Talleres de Escalada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Argider couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Martin Leheren. Martin Leheren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Argider in the 23rd minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Bomba made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 25thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Martin Leheren would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Miguel Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Argider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Talleres de Escalada's Martin Leheren got control of the ball when José Bomba tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute Rigoberto Argider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Poças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Franco in the 42nd minute of the match. Thibault Moon kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Nando Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The F.C. Paços de Ferreira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Talleres de Escalada were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rigoberto Argider made a kick off. Rigoberto Argider hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Thibault Moon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rigoberto Argider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rigoberto Argider blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Poças having to make a save. With a little luck, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças got control of the ball when Rigoberto Argider tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Bomba, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Rigoberto Argider managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres de Escalada's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Argider was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Poças breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. F.C. Paços de Ferreira made a substitution. Fabrício Travassos replaced João Maia. The supporters of Talleres de Escalada booed when F.C. Paços de Ferreira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Bomba didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 played minutes Talleres de Escalada got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Tingelholm. Rigoberto Argider could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Miguel Poças made a huge save. Martin Leheren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Bomba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The F.C. Paços de Ferreira supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Talleres de Escalada's performance. The match ended with a win for Talleres de Escalada.
