After a rather tough play, Quilmes's Venancio Sotero got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 6 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Nataniel came free, but Jannes Ruttens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beto Montenegro hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Lucas Nataniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Ruttens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Ismael Dolcet took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jannes Ruttens to make any attempt to save it. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quilmes's goalkeeper Adan Lartaun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adan Lartaun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicky Bryson's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beto Montenegro in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adan Lartaun saved Quilmes from getting behind. In the 26th minute Lucas Nataniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Ruttens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dionisio Laurendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannes Ruttens having to interfere. Justus Lintorf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Adan Lartaun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens got control of the ball when Lucas Nataniel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th match minute, C. A. Pipon Pipon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose José to maneuver through the defense. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Pipon Pipon from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute Lucas Nataniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Ruttens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannes Ruttens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Nataniel in the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Beto Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Lartaun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Nataniel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Quilmes's Adan Lartaun got control of the ball when Justus Lintorf tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adan Lartaun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Montenegro in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Dolcet in the 58th minute of play forced C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adan Lartaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Montenegro in the 61st minute of the match. Ismael Dolcet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Ronalds Koeman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Quilmes booed when C. A. Pipon Pipon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronalds Koeman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Lauro kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Quilmes's Horacio Francis was substituted for Jacobo Lauro. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Lanny Valle was substituted for Nicky Bryson. In the 77th match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Lauro to maneuver through the defense. Venancio Sotero kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Lanny Valles short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Adan Lartaun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm McIntosh in the 91st minute of play forced Quilmes's goalkeeper Adan Lartaun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Quilmes's goalkeeper Adan Lartaun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lanny Valle. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 96th minute, but Adan Lartaun got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Quilmes hanging dry this time. Quilmes's Felix Jatsu was substituted for Lucas Nataniel. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Al Whatley was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adan Lartaun in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Quilmes had won after a very even match.
