The crowd rose to their feet as CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Simon Ribeiro. That made the score 2-0 after 34 minutes of play. Rafael Martxot kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tommy Gun was the one to do the kick off. Enrique Cassaretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Mascitti in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Gun got free with George Forsyth in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. George Forsyth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Concetto Mascitti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Enrique Cassaretto notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Chanchos's Simon Ribeiro. Simon Ribeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 67th minute, Enrique Cassaretto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Chanchos's Simon Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 77th minute of play. Simon Ribeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Cassaretto went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. CD Municipal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
