The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Biehlert got free with Lázaro Jeraldo in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alejandro Dolfos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Moises Ospetsu fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Titanes Mayas's protests and gave Moises Ospetsu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Titanes Mayas getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Moises Ospetsu hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Ubaldo Urtungo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, Stefan Winitzki recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lázaro Jeraldo. Stefan Winitzki showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 20th minute, Moises Ospetsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Titanes Mayas's Teo Estavan in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Titanes Mayas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Christoph Sönksen scored to the left of an out of position Lázaro Jeraldo, making the score, 2-0. Lázaro Jeraldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roman Biehlert in the 44th minute. In the 45th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Winitzki to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Academica Pulheim's Michael Paziorek was substituted for Hadrian Greilinger. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noel Schaffert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Teo Estavan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dariusz Wieberneit having to interfere. Noel Schaffert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Lázaro Jeraldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Barnabas Rogge replaced Christoph Sönksen. Titanes Mayas's Lázaro Jeraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Paziorek in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Titanes Mayas's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Paziorek came free, but Lázaro Jeraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noel Schaffert in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lázaro Jeraldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the match, Barnabas Rogge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lázaro Jeraldo. Titanes Mayas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barnabas Rogge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 88 minutes into the match, Barnabas Rogge notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Titanes Mayas's Lázaro Jeraldo. Lázaro Jeraldo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barnabas Rogge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lázaro Jeraldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Barnabas Rogge scored 5-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lázaro Jeraldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Academica Pulheim's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
