The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Lizzio got free with Bernabe Peruxu in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Gaitan in the 22nd minute of play forced Hermosillo FC's goalkeeper Bernabe Peruxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes, Generoso Tavio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cable a Tierra and the Hermosillo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wilfredo Lluc kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Cable a Tierra's Pablo Lizzio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernabe Peruxu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 30thth minute of the game Baltasar Gaitan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hermosillo FC's Bernabe Peruxu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Vinicio Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th match minute, Cable a Tierra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Gaitan to maneuver through the defense. Pablo Lizzio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Bernabe Peruxu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Baltasar Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Pablo Lizzio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernabe Peruxu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After a rather tough play, Cable a Tierra's Maximino Timo got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 58th match minute, Hermosillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Lizar to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, Baltasar Gaitan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Bernabe Peruxu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th minute, Baltasar Gaitan made a precise shot to the right of Bernabe Peruxu. Hermosillo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 68 minutes into the match, Cosme Turi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernabe Peruxu. Hermosillo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cosme Turi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Angelo Constancio hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th match minute, Hermosillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Primeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Pablo Lizzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Peruxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baltasar Gaitan in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernabe Peruxu saved Hermosillo FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Lizzio in the 83rd minute of play forced Hermosillo FC's goalkeeper Bernabe Peruxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernabe Peruxu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baltasar Gaitan went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Cable a Tierra's Baltasar Gaitan got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Baltasar Gaitan notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Hermosillo FC's Bernabe Peruxu. Bernabe Peruxu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 94 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Gaitan came free, but Bernabe Peruxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Lizzio might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernabe Peruxu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pablo Lizzio ran back to his position shaking his head. Pablo Lizzio scored 10-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernabe Peruxu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cable a Tierra fully deserved thier win.
