In the 12th minute Sandro Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renan Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Paulo Macedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Renan Mendonça made a huge save. The Aesir FC FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Carlinhos Botelho charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlinhos Botelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute of the match, Andrézinho Antunes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Renan Mendonça saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 32 minutes of play Catadão's Carlinhos Botelho was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Carlinhos Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When Gonçalo Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Catadão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonçalo Galvão couldn't finish the play. If Jorge Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Paulo Macedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renan Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Gerson Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Massa in the 43rd minute of play. Catadão's Renan Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Catadão from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Macedo was the one to do the kick off. Andrézinho Antunes scored 3-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renan Mendonça, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerson Viana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th match minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Cosme to maneuver through the defense.
