Cable a Tierra's Reynaldo Lauren got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Baltasar Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renan Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Lizzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The Catadão players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cable a Tierra were winning 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pablo Lizzio was the one to do the kick off. After 58 minutes, Ian da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catadão and the Cable a Tierra players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Catadão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian da Costa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Catadão's zone, Pablo Lizzio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renan Mendonça came out of the goal and Pablo Lizzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cable a Tierra's Reynaldo Lauren got a free kick in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Pablo Lizzio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renan Mendonça. Catadão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pablo Lizzio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Pablo Lizzio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Renan Mendonça firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dênis Munhoz's late challenge caught a Cable a Tierra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renan Mendonça came out and tried to block the shot, but Vinicio Gerazan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 88th minute. Renan Mendonça was a little too slow when Baltasar Gaitan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 0-12.
