Juan Riquelme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Prestes having to interfere. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Héctor Barra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute Luis Vázquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Héctor Barra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 minutes Capo de Provincia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yoel Liñan who took care of the corner kick. Luis Jiménez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Vladimir Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
