Cristobal Chumo made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Academia 1903's Jacobo Galoer. After having played for 6 minutes, Jacobo Galoer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia 1903's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Galoer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 11 played minutes Academia 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Jakub Fedor. Academia 1903's Primo Speranza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ás Ronaldo in the 13th minute of play. Madison were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Academia 1903's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristos Ponce took the corner. Primo Speranza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ás Ronaldo in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Mete Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primo Speranza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primo Speranza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ás Ronaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Madison's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristos Ponce in the 27th minute. In the 29th play minute Timoteo Columbo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ernesto Emmanuel. 1-0. Primo Speranza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ás Ronaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Madison's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Harald Ek was slow to take the kick. During this time Academia 1903's players had a chance to rest. Harald Ek made a great header on Academia 1903's corner, it was just that Madison's Ernesto Emmanuel managed to reach the ball for a save. Carlos Figueroa hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ás Ronaldo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Academia 1903's zone, Mete Gol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Primo Speranza came out of the goal and Mete Gol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Leon Matthäus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Emmanuel. Madison's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leon Matthäus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Madison made a substitution. Juan Fernando Quintero replaced Cristos Ponce. In the 71st minute, Leon Matthäus made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Emmanuel. Madison's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Ernesto Emmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gérard Magyar in the 78th minute of play. Academia 1903's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gérard Magyar in the 79th minute. Academia 1903's Leon Matthäus was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ernesto Emmanuel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benito Naldo in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Primo Speranza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ás Ronaldo in the 86th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Primo Speranza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Academia 1903:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Madison:s goal. Primo Speranza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benito Naldo in the 92nd minute. Ernesto Emmanuel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leon Matthäus's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leon Matthäus in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Emmanuel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Academia 1903's Leon Matthäus, in the 98th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Academia 1903. Academia 1903's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
