Guillermo Mitxaut's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tage Melander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Guillermo Mitxaut took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Tage Melander to make any attempt to save it. Eustacio Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Tage Melander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Mitxaut in the 35th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game.
