Fernando Luz started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Gremio NG booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Durvalino Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kauan Machado. Gremio NG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durvalino Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Rosado in the 10th minute of play forced Gremio NG's goalkeeper Kauan Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Patrick Teles made a huge save. Sebastião Neto charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastião Neto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Gremio NG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Neto to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernandinho França in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kauan Machado saved Gremio NG from getting behind. Kauan Machado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernandinho França went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Durvalino Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Capixaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Durvalino Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kauan Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26thth minute of the game Fernandinho França who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio NG's Kauan Machado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kauan Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho França in the 28th minute of play. If Francisco Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Patrick Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernandinho França in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kauan Machado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atlético Capixaba's Patrick Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Aguiar in the 38th minute of play. Kauan Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho França in the 40th minute of the match. Kauan Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho França, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernandinho França stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Gremio NG got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Luz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Torres in the 57th minute of play forced Gremio NG's goalkeeper Kauan Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gremio NG's Kauan Machado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Gremio NG from getting a goal against them. After 63 played minutes Atlético Capixaba got a freekick which was hit by Durvalino Torres. In the 64th minute, Durvalino Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dieguinho Barros took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kauan Machado. Kauan Machado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Dieguinho Barross short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Kauan Machado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dieguinho Barros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Kauan Machado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Gremio NG's Kauan Machado got control of the ball when Dieguinho Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dieguinho Barros succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. Gremio NG's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alfredinho Severo 88 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. If Alfredinho Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Dieguinho Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kauan Machado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Kauan Machado made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Dieguinho Barros sent off a good shot on target. The Gremio NG fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atlético Capixaba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
