With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durvalino Torres in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Cardozo saved Que se abra o mar from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernandinho França was the one to do the kick off. After 50 played minutes Que se abra o mar got a freekick which was hit by Gino Amaral. In the 53rd minute Fernandinho França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Ronaldo Serra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Que se abra o mar's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Rosado came free, but Leandro Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernandinho França took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Cardozo. Leandro Cardozo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Wellington Rezende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leandro Cardozo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atlético Capixaba fans cheered their team off the field, for while Que se abra o mar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
