After 21 played minutes Gremio NG got a freekick which was hit by Dino do Vale. Danilo Salgado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fábio Pinheiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Danilo Salgado slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 24th minute. Sidnei Vergílio's late challenge caught a Gremio NG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidnei Vergílio helped the player get up and apologised. Raimundo Travassos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giuseppe Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Deportivo Craques fc's Gilvan Porto was substituted for Dario Acosta. In the 71st minute, one of Gremio NG:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gremio NG. In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Deportivo Craques fc. Marian Mincu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fábio Pinheiro. 4-1. 78 minutes into the match, Gremio NG's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Lucas came free, but Fábio Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fábio Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Lucas in the 81st minute of the match. Danilo Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Fábio Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
