Henk Veerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raymond Foubert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henk Veerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Veerman in the 5th minute of play forced Olympique Salonais's goalkeeper Raymond Foubert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Henk Veerman managed to get in a good position for a shot. ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s supporters rose to their feet, but Henk Veerman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raymond Foubert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Veerman in the 9th minute of play forced Olympique Salonais's goalkeeper Raymond Foubert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Derman Soysaldı came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Olympique Salonais's Zheng Liang Song. But to his dismay, Zheng Liang Song quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Henk Veerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute Henk Veerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Foubert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match, Henk Veerman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Raymond Foubert saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 29 played minutes ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐► got a freekick which was hit by Sacit Övünç. Hector Etxepare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Derman Soysaldı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Hector Etxepare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derman Soysaldı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Olympique Salonais's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Veerman came free, but Raymond Foubert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olympique Salonais's Raymond Foubert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sacit Övünç in the 44th minute of play. Olympique Salonais were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ma Chao Yong took the corner. Olympique Salonais's Ma Chao Yong was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Derman Soysaldı in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matteo Mata to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Song Peng Xi took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Derman Soysaldı to make any attempt to save it. Raymond Foubert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk Veerman in the 60th minute of the match. Jean-Christophe Grenard got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Song Peng Xi. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henk Veerman in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raymond Foubert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raymond Foubert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk Veerman in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s Henk Veerman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raymond Foubert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Henk Veerman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raymond Foubert. Olympique Salonais's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henk Veerman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s Gürkan Gurko was substituted for Caroll Baskin. Derman Soysaldı made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Zheng Liang Song sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th match minute, Olympique Salonais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Christophe Grenard to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the game, one of Olympique Salonais:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 92 minutes into the game, ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s Mustafa Yaşar Recai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raymond Foubert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Henk Veerman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raymond Foubert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Derman Soysaldı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Song Peng Xi in the 99th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
