Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Asmund Marchorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipo Inzaghi in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Nea Salamis's Ruud Nistelrooy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asmund Marchorst narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Uzuri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Antonis Nikopolidis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pedro Uzuri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Antonis Nikopolidis made a huge save. Gary Neville hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nea Salamis's zone, Ridouane Palermo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonis Nikopolidis came out of the goal and Ridouane Palermo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Pipo Inzaghi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Asmund Marchorst was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ridouane Palermo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Antonis Nikopolidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Nea Salamis fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Nea Salamis's Pipo Inzaghi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nea Salamis's attentive Cafu Milan managed to snatch the ball when Carmelo Rodas made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. Asmund Marchorst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruud Nistelrooy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the game, Ruud Nistelrooy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Asmund Marchorst was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ridouane Palermo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Asmund Marchorst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipo Inzaghi in the 59th minute of the match. Nea Salamis's attentive Cafu Milan managed to snatch the ball when Carmelo Rodas made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. Rögnvaldur Bjarmarsson took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonis Nikopolidis. Antonis Nikopolidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Muten's Asmund Marchorst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Muten from getting a goal against them. When Prospero Orlan fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muten's protests and gave Prospero Orlan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Muten getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Prospero Orlan hit a great ball. Wawrzyniec Puchlik hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Muten's Adolfo Chago was substituted for Gonzalo Rolado. Muten made a substitution. Laureano Llorian replaced Prospero Orlan. After 87 played minutes Nea Salamis got a freekick which was hit by Wawrzyniec Puchlik. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Uzuri in the 88th minute of play forced Nea Salamis's goalkeeper Antonis Nikopolidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asmund Marchorst didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruud Nistelrooy went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 97 minutes into the match, Nea Salamis's Pipo Inzaghi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asmund Marchorst narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 98th minute Nea Salamis were awarded a corner. Pipo Inzaghi went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Nea Salamis's corner Pipo Inzaghi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Asmund Marchorst quite easily take care of the ball. Nea Salamis played a much better game than Muten and deserved their victory. The Muten players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
