KINDERUZ's Manuel Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moritz Christe in the 5th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moritz Christe in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Neuer saved KINDERUZ from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Moritz Christe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in KINDERUZ's zone, Carsten Boy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Neuer came out of the goal and Carsten Boy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Edgar Gomminginger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slaven Dietze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Ronaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abílio Sacramento kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Slaven Dietze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Ronaldo in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute Moritz Christe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Neuer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Gomminginger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Moritz Christe notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of KINDERUZ's Manuel Neuer. Manuel Neuer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moritz Christe in the 39th minute of play forced KINDERUZ's goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Academica Pulheim were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cristian Ronaldo made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Pinkus Mack got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgar Gomminginger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Manuel Neuer made a huge save. When Academica Pulheim's Moritz Christe in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KINDERUZ's goalie prevented a goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Neuer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Manuel Neuer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pinkus Mack in the 72nd minute. Manuel Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carsten Boy, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 78 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Justino Jeraldo. After 80 minutes of play, Academica Pulheim's Pinkus Mack made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Neuer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ali Köpsel might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Neuer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ali Köpsel ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgar Gomminginger did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Manuel Neuer 93 minutes into the match. Manuel Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moritz Christe, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After a rather tough play, KINDERUZ's Nicolau Benevides got a free kick in the 96th minute.
