With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Claude in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurențiu Gaciu saved Exército Português from getting behind. Laurențiu Gaciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Ronaldinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Gustavo Carrasqueira notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of ♦Diabetes♦'s Jonas Chorache. Jonas Chorache was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Ronaldinho came free, but Laurențiu Gaciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Marian Axinte in the 30th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ♦Diabetes♦'s Benjamin Milio. Laurențiu Gaciu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 36 minutes into the game, one of ♦Diabetes♦:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Jonas Chorache, was totally fooled by Exército Português's Bruno Soveral, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Laurențiu Gaciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Ronaldinho in the 40th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, ♦Diabetes♦'s Cristiano Ronaldinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laurențiu Gaciu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 45th minute of the match, Gustavo Carrasqueira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonas Chorache saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Soveral to make the kick off. Jonas Chorache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Soveral in the 51st minute of the match. Jonas Chorache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Soveral in the 55th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Ronaldinho got free with Laurențiu Gaciu in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Exército Português's Laurențiu Gaciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Cordara in the 85th minute of play. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 5-4 when Gustavo Carrasqueira sped through ♦Diabetes♦'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonas Chorache. In the 91st minute of the match, Leonel Cordara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Laurențiu Gaciu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. ♦Diabetes♦'s Jonas Chorache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Carvalhais in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cosme Gilen. 96 minutes into the match, ♦Diabetes♦'s goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Soveral came free, but Jonas Chorache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ♦Diabetes♦'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
