Alfredo Ireno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 9th minute Nicasio Gotzon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Cordario might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvard Fagerberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Cordario ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the match, Commander Crowe's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cordario came free, but Edvard Fagerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erwin Huygens came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Commander Crowe's Jimmie Käcker. But to his dismay, Jimmie Käcker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Sitko, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Augusto Cordario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Edvard Fagerberg made a huge save. Erwin Huygens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Gotzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Velez Sarsfield's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cyprian Sitko was slow to take the kick. During this time Commander Crowe's players had a chance to rest. Augusto Cordario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvard Fagerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 38 minutes Commander Crowe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filomeno Montrell who took care of the corner kick. Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edvard Fagerberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicasio Gotzon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 78th minute, Augusto Cordario made a precise shot to the right of Edvard Fagerberg. Commander Crowe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Augusto Cordario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvard Fagerberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match Velez Sarsfield got a corner. Commander Crowe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filomeno Montrell ran over to the corner to take the kick. Velez Sarsfield's Ago Tramp was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edvard Fagerberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roy Andreasson during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Sun Zhi Zhen. Erwin Huygens made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Jimmie Käcker sent off a good shot on target. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Gotzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Erwin Huygens had great luck who in the 95thth minute grab hold of the ball when Nicasio Gotzon from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Commander Crowe were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
