The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jörg Stiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jedrzej Beninda, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jedrzej Beninda in the 5th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Jörg Stiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörg Stiel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jedrzej Beninda's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Jedrzej Beninda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 10th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jörg Stiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sonic Ball, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aloyzas Valys could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Jörg Stiel made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Aloyzas Valys took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jörg Stiel to make any attempt to save it. 19 minutes into the match, Kurt Wüthrich notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Moose Knuckles's Li Lin. Li Lin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Li Lin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Schwersenz in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute Salomone Weber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Li Lin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Jedrzej Beninda lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Jörg Stiel. Li Lin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Wüthrich in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, Espen Steelers's Jörg Stiel got control of the ball when Gabriel Maraman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute, Espen Steelers's Hassan Widmer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hassan Widmer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Espen Steelers protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hassan Widmer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Espen Steelers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! In the 44th match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Einstein to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Wiktor Kjellqvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jörg Stiel. That made the score 3-1 in the 47 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kurt Wüthrich to make the kick off. Moose Knuckles's Li Lin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Wüthrich in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Einstein to maneuver through the defense. Jörg Stiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vecdet Baştürk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Vecdet Baştürk sped through Espen Steelers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jörg Stiel. In the 66th minute, Aloyzas Valys left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moose Knuckles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Sonic Ball struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Jörg Stiel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moose Knuckles. Vecdet Baştürk took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jörg Stiel. Jörg Stiel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Jörg Stiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Maraman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri Schwersenz in the 86th minute of play forced Moose Knuckles's goalkeeper Li Lin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Wüthrich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Li Lin made a huge save.
