Florencio Ferran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Kornél Hajdú tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Szentgotthárd defense, Teobaldo Ibon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kornél Hajdú. The Szentgotthárd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kornél Hajdú should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pancho Puskás got free with Fabio Quintyn in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Szentgotthárd players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Húsares.
