In the 3rd minute, Húsares's Florencio Ferran ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Willy Van Linthout. Willy Van Linthout yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 7th minute, Florencio Ferran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Húsares fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 15th minute Tolek Skoroda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Quintyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Húsares got a corner. Bruly's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ubaldo Kismi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Húsares's Ubaldo Kismi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Willy Van Linthout in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Húsares's Florencio Ferran got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robben Musseeuw kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When Jullian Vranx came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Bruly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jullian Vranx couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, Bruly's 史浩远 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Quintyn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Florencio Ferran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willy Van Linthout was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Willy Van Linthout successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Húsares's Tomás Chinto got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Florencio Ferran made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the game Javier Van Landschoot made a throw-in which Jullian Vranx played forward. Húsares's Fabio Quintyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jullian Vranx in the 54th minute of play. Florencio Ferran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Willy Van Linthout read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Florencio Ferran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehmet Akif Ayana kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Fabio Quintyn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Javier Van Landschoot in the 67th minute. Húsares made a substitution. Teobaldo Ibon replaced Florencio Ferran. In the 71st minute Teobaldo Ibon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willy Van Linthout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Húsares made a substitution. Carlos Miliano replaced Josué Vargas. After 73 minutes Bruly's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ubaldo Kismi who took care of the corner kick. Teobaldo Ibon made a great header on Húsares's corner, it was just that Bruly's Willy Van Linthout managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teobaldo Ibon in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willy Van Linthout saved Bruly from getting behind. Willy Van Linthout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Ibon in the 96th minute of the match.
