In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind CERPA's goalkeeper Silvestre Ulizes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Capitan Beto's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Roldan came free, but Elvio Opilano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Capitan Beto's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Natalio Kusko was slow to take the kick. During this time CERPA's players had a chance to rest. The corner led CERPA's Efrain Roldan to fire away a dangerous shot which Elvio Opilano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Efrain Roldan came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the CERPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efrain Roldan couldn't finish the play. Efrain Roldan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Opilano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Denturck in the 23rd minute of play forced Capitan Beto's goalkeeper Elvio Opilano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvestre Ulizes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Richie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cleto Lorencio hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Elvio Opilano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Efrain Roldan's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Ramiro Hotz kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Efrain Roldan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Opilano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Capitan Beto's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Roldan came free, but Elvio Opilano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramon Richie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. CERPA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Capitan Beto booed when CERPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Su Chuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victoriano Tonete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elvio Opilano was a little too slow when Efrain Roldan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cleto Lorencio during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CERPA booed when Capitan Beto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Lorencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Efrain Roldan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CERPA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Efrain Roldan in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Opilano saved Capitan Beto from getting behind. CERPA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
