A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Lucian Dejeu hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bilbo Bermudez got free with Gheorghe Baldovin in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bilbo Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Gheorghe Baldovin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urtzi Zamorano got free with Gheorghe Baldovin in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erez Negrini received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gheorghe Baldovin came out and tried to block the shot, but Erez Negrini slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. Urtzi Zamorano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Gheorghe Baldovin made a huge save. Mehis Nugin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Elenescu in the 41st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Avram Elenescu in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehis Nugin saved Spor Las Huevas from getting behind. After some careless play in the Spor Las Huevas defense, Leonard Aanuţei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mehis Nugin. The Spor Las Huevas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mehis Nugin should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
