In the 30th minute of the match Amboy FC got a corner. Academia Monte Gordo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cornelio Rius ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Mario Alberto Abascal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong did a great save. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Modestio in the 31st minute of play. Ariel Mourelatos made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Fabrício Lustosa sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Fabrício Lustosa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos. Ariel Mourelatos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fryderyk Grucza to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valerio Spadoni got free with Mao Zhen Hong in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Monte Gordo from getting a goal against them. Pascual Mouricio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valerio Spadoni got free with Mao Zhen Hong in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Academia Monte Gordo's Fryderyk Grucza in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán made the kick off and play began. In the 102nd minute Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mao Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fryderyk Gruczas short, quick shot in the 111thth minute got Ariel Mourelatos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Fryderyk Grucza did a quick kick off. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 129th minute of the match, but Mao Zhen Hong made a huge save. In the 131st minute Ruperto Modestio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mao Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mao Zhen Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Modestio in the 131st minute of the match. In the 133rdth minute of the game Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 120 minutes played and the teams were still tied %results%. It was now down to the keepers and penalty takers to win this one for their team.

The goalkeeper, Mao Zhen Hong, was totally fooled by Amboy FC's Marcelo Kauldi, who 142 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 143rd minute, the referee gave Academia Monte Gordo a penalty. Mao Zhen Hong looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Ariel Mourelatos. The referee gave Amboy FC a penalty, 144 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bruce Cornforth, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong. 4-3. Ariel Mourelatos had in the 146thth minute some difficulties stopping Arana Ponta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee gave Amboy FC a penalty, 147 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Shi Sha Quan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong. 4-4. Academia Monte Gordo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
