Corneliu Dridu ran back to his position shaking his head. Dr Lecter SC's Omid Kaulbach got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Alejandro Martxelin came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Capo de Provincia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Martxelin couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the game, Carlo Valdivieso threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dr Lecter SC's Tihomir Donevski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Carlo Valdivieso made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Dr Lecter SC's Ma Wei Jun. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corneliu Dridu in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Héctor Barra saved Capo de Provincia from getting behind. Juan Riquelme's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Celso Trevisan firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 33 minutes Dr Lecter SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was César Pretot who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Carlo Valdivieso managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A throw-in in the 40th minute of the game was made by Carlo Valdivieso with Epifanío Mejia as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 43 minutes, Tihomir Donevski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dr Lecter SC and the Capo de Provincia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Dr Lecter SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tihomir Donevski to maneuver through the defense. Héctor Barra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Dridu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tihomir Donevski hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Dr Lecter SC's Laércio Guedes was substituted for Lauro Antunes. The supporters of Capo de Provincia booed when Dr Lecter SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tihomir Donevski didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Riquelme in the 78th minute of play forced Dr Lecter SC's goalkeeper Celso Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Capo de Provincia were awarded a corner. Qiao Qi went to the cornerflag to take it. Capo de Provincia's Eder Garland was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Celso Trevisan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Héctor Barra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 85 minutes into the game, Dieguinho de Medeiros threw the ball into play from the sideline. Capo de Provincia's Fazil App quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 89 minutes into the game, Luis Jiménez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capo de Provincia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dr Lecter SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Capo de Provincia's Luis Jiménez got a free kick in the 89th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Héctor Barra successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 91st minute of the match Dr Lecter SC got a corner. Capo de Provincia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauro Romero ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dr Lecter SC's Mauro Romero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Héctor Barra in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 93 played minutes, Dr Lecter SC's Mauro Romero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Héctor Barra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dr Lecter SC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Villa in the 96th minute of play forced Dr Lecter SC's goalkeeper Celso Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

There was no doubt that Capo de Provincia were the better team. Capo de Provincia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
