Spectators: 497 (Terracing: 374, Seating: 114, VIP seats: 9) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabian Czeszejko started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s goal looked a bit too open when Artur Walczak came free, but Edmund Konopka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Fabian Czeszejko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpia HSB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 13th minute, ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s Alvise Di Crescenzo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After some careless play in the ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™ defense, Fabian Czeszejko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmund Konopka. The ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmund Konopka should have stopped the shot. ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s Edmund Konopka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikola Mirotić in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Olimpia HSB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calito Izquierdoz to maneuver through the defense. Edmund Konopka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Czeszejko in the 30th minute of the match. Edmund Konopka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Czeszejko in the 34th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Marcin Baszczyński hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvise Di Crescenzo to make the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Tolek Kiszkiel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tolek Kiszkiel came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s Alvise Di Crescenzo. But to his dismay, Alvise Di Crescenzo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Edmund Konopka had great luck who in the 60thth minute grab hold of the ball when Fabian Czeszejko from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s zone, Fabian Czeszejko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmund Konopka came out of the goal and Fabian Czeszejko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Czeszejko in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmund Konopka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tolek Kiszkiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcin Baszczyński in the 68th minute of the match. Artur Walczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olimpia HSB made a substitution. Tomáš Petrásek replaced Sixto Yanguas. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fernando Morientes was slow to take the kick. During this time Olimpia HSB's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the Olimpia HSB defense, Alvise Di Crescenzo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tolek Kiszkiel. The Olimpia HSB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tolek Kiszkiel should have stopped the shot. A nice corner shot did that Fernando Morientes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edmund Konopka quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

Olimpia HSB's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
