Carpathians's Călin Ghioncu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Carpathians from getting a goal against them. 8 minutes into the match, Carpathians's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Belkå came free, but Călin Ghioncu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Feteanu in the 12th minute of play forced вιℓтємα's goalkeeper Jonas Belkå to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Teobald Karanewski came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Carpathians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobald Karanewski couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Carpathians's Constantin Bot got a free kick in the 18th minute. Egil Belkå could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Călin Ghioncu made a huge save. In the 23rdth minute of the game Egil Belkå who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carpathians's Călin Ghioncu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th match minute, Carpathians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobald Karanewski to maneuver through the defense. Carpathians's Călin Ghioncu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Oskar Belkå in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Carpathians's Călin Ghioncu got control of the ball when Egil Belkå tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobald Karanewski in the 43rd minute of play forced вιℓтємα's goalkeeper Jonas Belkå to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Carpathians's zone, Egil Belkå stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Călin Ghioncu came out of the goal and Egil Belkå tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egil Belkå was the one to do the kick off. вιℓтємα's Egil Belkå got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Egil Belkå in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Călin Ghioncu saved Carpathians from getting behind. Călin Ghioncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egil Belkå in the 56th minute of the match. Jonas Belkå took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobald Karanewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 80 minutes, Egil Belkå managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. вιℓтємα's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egil Belkå was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carpathians made a substitution. Stefan Dobay replaced Teobald Karanewski. Carpathians's Rodrigo Marinho was substituted for Ercan Sabahaddin. вιℓтємα made a substitution. Håkan Johnsson replaced Tobias Nordström. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Egil Belkå put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Călin Ghioncu. After some careless play in the Carpathians defense, Egil Belkå kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Călin Ghioncu. The Carpathians fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Călin Ghioncu should have stopped the shot.
