Andres Ekhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Gao Xiang Guang kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The throw-in from Doron Bantz in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Marquês de Herval's Nestor Paraibano. Andres Ekhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Paraibano in the 18th minute of play. Reinaldo Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Dida Taffarel managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Ricart Futebol Clube's Abel Ramalho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Andres Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovânio Gerber. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doron Bantz in the 29th minute of play. Dida Taffarel came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Ricart Futebol Clube's Abel Ramalho. But to his dismay, Abel Ramalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With a little luck, Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel got control of the ball when Abel Ramalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Abel Ramalho 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Andres Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Paraibano in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moussa Kabre to maneuver through the defense. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Ramalho in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ricart Futebol Clube made a substitution. Eusebio Hori replaced Abel Ramalho. The wind increased when Eusebio Hori made the kick off in the second half. Andres Ekhi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Paraibano in the 53rd minute. In the 60th minute, Doron Bantz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Cano in the 61st minute of the match. Marquês de Herval's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Moussa Kabre in the 63rd minute. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Hori in the 68th minute of play. Ricart Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Marquês de Herval's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Doron Bantz took the corner. In the 74th minute, Jon Grøneng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusebio Hori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricart Futebol Clube's Emanuel Olisadebe quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jon Grøneng, made in the 78th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Anísio Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricart Futebol Clube's Eusebio Hori got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Martins in the 88th minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Andres Ekhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 played minutes Ricart Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Neves. Andres Ekhi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Paraibano in the 96th minute. Marquês de Herval's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
