Berserkers FC Ψ's Marcos Burni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Gregory in the 42nd minute of play. Vicente Nevada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Marcos Burni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Olliver Van Meirhaeghe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan-Ramón Verón was the one to do the kick off. Marcos Burni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Gregory in the 56th minute of the match. Juan-Ramón Verón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lev Yashin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Juan-Ramón Verón showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 90 minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Perpinya notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Berserkers FC Ψ's Marcos Burni. Marcos Burni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
