Primitivo Grau started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, FC Urzicuța's goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Sen Yang came free, but Sandu Vlaicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Primitivo Grau looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 6th minute, FC Urzicuța's İrfan Attar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivan Chiuzbaian. Ivan Chiuzbaian yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Sandu Vlaicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Grau in the 8th minute of the match. FC Urzicuța's Sandu Vlaicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Grau in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by İrfan Attar in the 19th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Ivan Chiuzbaian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Grigore Maghiran in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Urzicuța's Cristi Chivu. Ivan Chiuzbaian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurel Beldeanu in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, FC Urzicuța's goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Sen Yang came free, but Sandu Vlaicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Chiuzbaian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İrfan Attar's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 36th minute of the match Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a corner. FC Urzicuța's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olov Ahlbeck ran over to the corner to take the kick. Primitivo Grau was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Sandu Vlaicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Stasio Bienienda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Beldeanu came free, but Ivan Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for İrfan Attar to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute İrfan Attar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zhao Sen Yang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sandu Vlaicu having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zhao Sen Yang got free with Sandu Vlaicu in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sandu Vlaicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Grau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the game, Emil Wielopolski threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Urzicuța's Senne Rondou quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 67 minutes into the match, İrfan Attar notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian. Ivan Chiuzbaian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. İrfan Attar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Chiuzbaian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurel Beldeanu in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Chiuzbaian saved Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- from getting behind. A collision led to FC Urzicuța getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Lisandro Taurino hit a great ball. FC Urzicuța's Sorin Bârlă was substituted for İrfan Attar. After 84 played minutes FC Urzicuța got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Taurino. In the 88th minute Sorin Bârlă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Chiuzbaian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Bârlă in the 88th minute of the match. Petre Iftode scored 2-4 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sandu Vlaicu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Emil Wielopolski in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Urzicuța's Lisandro Taurino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Beldeanu in the 95th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Ivan Chiuzbaian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
