The corner was taken by Costel Runcu in the 4th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Mai Si Liang advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 4th minute. Sascha Groß showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Fenomeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Peter Bautmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Ayrault in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rechberg FC's zone, Otto Fenomeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sascha Groß came out of the goal and Otto Fenomeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Rechberg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mai Si Liang came free, but Sascha Groß reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Rechberg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Vimaro came free, but Sascha Groß reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mai Si Liang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rechberg FC's Aldo Colombo got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With his leg Sascha Groß managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when FC Bredene's Otto Fenomeno fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Vimaro in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sascha Groß saved Rechberg FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Rechberg FC's Sascha Groß got control of the ball when Otto Fenomeno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Otto Fenomeno could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Sascha Groß however easily saved by the left post. 81 minutes into the match, Otto Fenomeno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sascha Groß. Rechberg FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Otto Fenomeno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Sascha Groß was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Otto Fenomeno capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Otto Fenomeno really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Otto Fenomeno came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sascha Groß could save by the left post. Otto Fenomeno in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sascha Groß, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. FC Bredene's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
