In the 28th minute Danilo Gomesano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Clis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Adrian Clis managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Julio Kemen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Adrian Clis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Adrian Clis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bolo Bolaño's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Štefan Hlavica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bolo Bolaño to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when Imperio Académico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tymoteusz Lemiesz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Imperio Académico defense, Danilo Gomesano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Clis. The Imperio Académico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Clis should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Bolo Bolaño's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrian Clis was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Danilo Gomesano put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Adrian Clis. For all the effort they put into the match, the Imperio Académico players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Consejo del Mate.
