Lucio Ur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Rufo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute of the match Sporting de Gijón got a corner. C. A. Potrero's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matias Bilintx ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Bilintx in the 12th minute of play forced C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Lucio Ur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Semih Kaya got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Óscar Cordoba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 18 minutes, Mustafa Barış Yorangil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Potrero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mustafa Barış Yorangil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kauan de Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kauan de Barros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kauan de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Semih Kaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
