In the 16th minute, Fagildo Pamanes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute of the match Consejo del Mate got a corner. Roceira SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hernan Quinton ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Hernan Quinton got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcelinho Barral quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fagildo Pamanes got free with Marcelinho Barral in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute Bolo Bolaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Consejo del Mate were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Roceira SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hernan Quinton took the corner. The corner ended in Hernan Quinton almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Roceira SC's Marcelinho Barral did a great save. When Roceira SC's Hulk Speed in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Gatti saved Consejo del Mate from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hulk Speed in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Orlando Gatti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Paulo Trevisan in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Gatti saved Consejo del Mate from getting behind. 41 minutes into the match, Roceira SC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Barral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernan Quinton. Marcelinho Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Roceira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Bolo Bolaño came free, but Marcelinho Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bolo Bolaño made a kick off.
