In the 15th minute, Dong Jian Yang made a precise shot to the right of Rene Llorian. GARIBALDI FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Benedicto Silbestre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Wieslaw Panasewicz made a huge save. Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia y tiro from getting a goal against them. Guillermo Ezkerra got a throw-in 20 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Astor Colon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Ekain in the 21st minute of play forced Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Wieslaw Panasewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Llorian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Basilio Guillem hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The supporters of GARIBALDI FC booed when Gimnasia y tiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Guillem didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 minutes GARIBALDI FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Esben Nordborg who took care of the corner kick. When Reynaldo Montrelle came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Gimnasia y tiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Montrelle couldn't finish the play. Rene Llorian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Valiente in the 92nd minute of play. Rene Llorian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Montrelle's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. In the 98th minute, Gimnasia y tiro's Ariel Valiente dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-8. The Gimnasia y tiro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
