After 2 minutes, Gottlieb Hagedorn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academica Pulheim and the Friesenwerdermoor players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Academica Pulheim getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Gottlieb Hagedorn hit a great ball. When Stefan Winitzki came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Academica Pulheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Winitzki couldn't finish the play. When Roman Biehlert fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academica Pulheim's protests and gave Roman Biehlert a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Biehlert to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academica Pulheim's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maximus Körtge was slow to take the kick. During this time Friesenwerdermoor's players had a chance to rest. Eckhard Borgwardt made a great header on Friesenwerdermoor's corner, it was just that Academica Pulheim's Dariusz Wieberneit managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in Academica Pulheim's zone, Kurt Hui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dariusz Wieberneit came out of the goal and Kurt Hui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Friesenwerdermoor booed when Academica Pulheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Winitzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Friesenwerdermoor getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Eckhard Borgwardt hit a great ball. Gustav Sawade came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Academica Pulheim's Gunther Daun. But to his dismay, Gunther Daun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 34thth minute of the game Christoph Sönksen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Friesenwerdermoor's Gustav Sawade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Eckhard Borgwardt fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Friesenwerdermoor's protests and gave Eckhard Borgwardt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Friesenwerdermoor getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Eckhard Borgwardt hit a great ball. In the 37thth minute of the game Roman Biehlert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Friesenwerdermoor's Gustav Sawade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximus Körtge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucian Wild received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dariusz Wieberneit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Friesenwerdermoor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Academica Pulheim were winning 0-2.

Academica Pulheim's Michael Paziorek was substituted for Hadrian Greilinger. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Noel Schaffert was the one to do the kick off. Noel Schaffert had several of the Friesenwerdermoor's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 54 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Gustav Sawade as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when Friesenwerdermoor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norman Renz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Academica Pulheim's Barnabas Rogge was substituted for Christoph Sönksen. Barnabas Rogge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustav Sawade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Noel Schaffert might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustav Sawade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noel Schaffert ran back to his position shaking his head. After 77 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Jacek Gerster. Maximus Körtge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dariusz Wieberneit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximus Körtge in the 84th minute of play. Dominik Zintl kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to Friesenwerdermoor getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Lucian Wild hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Jacek Gerster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dariusz Wieberneit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Rieden in the 96th minute of the match.
