Jamie Baba's late challenge caught a AD Pontassolense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jamie Baba helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Australian Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamie Baba to maneuver through the defense. The referee gave AD Pontassolense a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Afonso Castanheira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane. 1-2. Vladimiro Barroso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. If Dakota Gaffigan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimiro Barroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Minton, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Ben Minton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Australian Youth Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Vladimiro Barroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olliver Todman, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vítor Patrício was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the AD Pontassolense defense, Olliver Todman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimiro Barroso. The AD Pontassolense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Barroso should have stopped the shot. Vladimiro Barroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Minton, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Australian Youth Academy's Neville Wal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vladimiro Barroso. That made the score 1-7 after 65 minutes of play. Australian Youth Academy's Dugald Berresford was substituted for Ben Minton. 73 minutes into the match, AD Pontassolense's goal looked a bit too open when Neville Wal came free, but Vladimiro Barroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Fernando Portela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Pontassolense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Australian Youth Academy the free kick. After 74 played minutes AD Pontassolense got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Portela. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Vladimiro Barroso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 83rd play minutes Olliver Todman shot 1-8, a short shot which went by Vladimiro Barroso and just under the crossbar into goal. AD Pontassolense's Vladimiro Barroso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save AD Pontassolense from getting a goal against them. AD Pontassolense's Vladimiro Barroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dugald Berresford in the 89th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, AD Pontassolense's goal looked a bit too open when Dugald Berresford came free, but Vladimiro Barroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Australian Youth Academy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
