Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vânderson De la Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antônio Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Palos in the 24th minute of the match. The Simbo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Nestor Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas Brion made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute of the match Segundo Neron sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antônio Ferreira skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Marcial Belasko could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Antônio Ferreira however easily saved by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nestor Galvão in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavio Lauaxeta saved Simbo FC from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Galvão came free, but Octavio Lauaxeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jonas Brion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antônio Ferreira was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Octavio Lauaxeta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Andrade's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga made a substitution. Délio Coelho replaced Nestor Galvão. Simbo FC made a substitution. Gervasio Matei replaced Iker Oskarbi. Marcial Belasko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Wilton Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd match minute, Simbo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Palos to maneuver through the defense. Octavio Lauaxeta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Tiaguinho Cruz was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Clube Atl. Taquaritinga getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tiaguinho Cruz hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Coelho came free, but Octavio Lauaxeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Simbo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
