The Schmeissen FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With his leg Eduardo Lezarreta managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Schmeissen FC's Stellan Kielberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 12th minute, Aldo Popolizio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdemar Blom took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eduardo Lezarreta. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eduardo Lezarreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Palmer in the 14th minute of the match. Eduardo Lezarreta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brian Hellqvist in the 21st minute. Eddie Billvall didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabon Castrejana went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Bernardo Cavallosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Eddie Billvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teofilo Alcala during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Deportivo Popolizio FBC got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Alcala. David Palmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brian Hellqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Teofilo Alcala got his second yellow card of the match in the 40th minute. The referee ordered Teofilo Alcala off the ground. Teofilo Alcala hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Palmer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Pierres Baz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Popolizio FBC and the Schmeissen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pierres Baz hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Deportivo Popolizio FBC defense, Wictor Adelsköld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Lezarreta. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Lezarreta should have stopped the shot. Eduardo Lezarreta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Hellqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Wictor Adelsköld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute, Pierres Baz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Schmeissen FC's Johnny Mellbad was substituted for Claes Danielsson. Schmeissen FC's Rune Bäck was substituted for Brian Hellqvist. Schmeissen FC made a substitution. Axel Beck replaced Stellan Kielberg. After 67 played minutes Deportivo Popolizio FBC got a freekick which was hit by Pierres Baz. In the 75th minute Mateus Ardines suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Quintan Ontavilla replaced Mateus Ardines. In the 78th match minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Cavallosa to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Deportivo Popolizio FBC defense, David Palmer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Lezarreta. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Lezarreta should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Palmer in the 95th minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Eduardo Lezarreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
