In the 18th minute Måns Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karlheinz Ludecke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Noisiel's Harold Combettes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Safet Hands narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Norrlands Athen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Diego Farges was slow to take the kick. During this time Noisiel's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Noisiel's Diego Farges to fire away a dangerous shot which Safet Hands despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 29 played minutes Norrlands Athen got a freekick which was hit by Huang Fei Ting. Måns Sandberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Karlheinz Ludecke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Måns Sandberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 36 minutes into the game, Måns Sandberg threw the ball into play from the sideline. Noisiel's Shi Ying Yang quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The Norrlands Athen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Safet Hands should have stopped the shot. Noisiel's Shi Ying Yang quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Stig-Arne Deckberg, made in the 41st minute of the game. Karlheinz Ludecke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Måns Sandberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Lebron to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Harold Combettes made a precise shot to the right of Safet Hands. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harold Combettes in the 60th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Norrlands Athen's Karlheinz Ludecke threw himself towards the right post 124 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juan Lebron, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 125 minutes into the game, Noisiel's Jules Berna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Safet Hands made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Noisiel were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Norrlands Athen for a fine match.
