The Boulogne F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Baldomiro Clementi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Baldomiro Clementi sped through Boulogne F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ask Stamnes. In the 40th minute Baldomiro Clementi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ask Stamnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauricio Tano to strike the kick off in the second half. Werner Kamps came out of the goal in the 50th minute to try and stop a shot by Boulogne F.C.'s Marcelo Martins. But to his dismay, Marcelo Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Baldomiro Clementi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Ask Stamnes made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Tano in the 61st minute of play forced Bierunese's goalkeeper Werner Kamps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Rein Stroeve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Werner Kamps was left in no man's land by his defense there! Baldomiro Clementi struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Ask Stamnes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bierunese. After a defensive mix-up in Bierunese's zone, Donato Trentini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Werner Kamps came out of the goal and Donato Trentini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute of the match, Baldomiro Clementi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ask Stamnes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

Boulogne F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
