The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Navarro in the 4th minute of play forced FC Kukova's goalkeeper Róbert Behúň to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Fervent Stalkers's Augusto Gaskon got control of the ball when André Pirlo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Augusto Gaskon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Soter, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Stano Dubček hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Jozef Šagáth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Augusto Gaskon made a huge save. FC Kukova's Gregório Pimentel took a good shot, in the 26th minute, which hit the crossbar above Augusto Gaskon's head, and flew over the goal. Fervent Stalkers's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by FC Kukova. Augusto Gaskon made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Pirlo in the 31st minute. If Gregório Pimentel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fervent Stalkers's Augusto Gaskon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Fervent Stalkers from getting a goal against them. Fervent Stalkers's Franco Navarro got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Eleuterio Donostia made a precise shot to the right of Róbert Behúň. FC Kukova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The supporters of FC Kukova booed when Fervent Stalkers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Emenon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes FC Kukova got a freekick which was hit by Gregório Pimentel. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gong Yang was the one to do the kick off. Augusto Gaskon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gong Yang's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. FC Kukova's Róbert Behúň proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kukova from getting a goal against them. Róbert Behúň was a little too slow when Franco Navarro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 3-2. After a rather tough play, Fervent Stalkers's Elpidio Demesio got a free kick in the 90th minute. Gregório Pimentel, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Fervent Stalkers's goal looked a bit too open when Jozef Šagáth came free, but Augusto Gaskon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

FC Kukova were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fervent Stalkers for a fine match.
