The Gyál United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horaţiu Petran should have stopped the shot. With a left leg Horaţiu Petran saved Gyál United from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Jan Basaik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walmir Breckenfeld. Jan Basaik made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Walmir Breckenfeld sent off a good shot on target. 43 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Derman Cruchet came free, but Horaţiu Petran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zoltán Varga to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Roberto-Carlos Petrović hit a great ball. Gyál United's Kemal Davarcı was substituted for Zoltán Varga. 81 minutes into the match, KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Breckenfeld came free, but Jan Basaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Although Gyál United had been in control for most of the match, KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ still came away with the win.
