Nilmar Marinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Siro Jolis having to make a save. 9 minutes into the match, Linterna verde's goalkeeper Siro Jolis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nilmar Marinho. Dani Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Cisneros, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Dani Hernández took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Piquero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Linterna verde fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Linterna verde's Jimeno Piquero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 17th minute Chivos de Punto Fijo were awarded a corner. Chivos de Punto Fijo's 白桦旭 was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Siro Jolis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Nilmar Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chivos de Punto Fijo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilmar Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Jolis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rdth minute of the game Nilmar Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linterna verde's Siro Jolis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Linterna verde's Paz Palacios got a free kick in the 25th minute. Nilmar Marinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Siro Jolis made a huge save. Dani Hernández didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jimeno Piquero went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nilmar Marinho was the one to do the kick off. Pier Kopacz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Jolis having to interfere. Aurelio Cisneros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Dani Hernández made a huge save. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Linterna verde's goalkeeper Siro Jolis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Nilmar Marinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chivos de Punto Fijo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If 白桦旭 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
