The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fan Xi Hong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ömer Halisdemir in the 3rd minute. After a rather tough play, Squadra de Pippe's Stanislovas Skripkauskas got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Ömer Halisdemir recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fan Xi Hong. Ömer Halisdemir showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Ömer Halisdemir dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fan Xi Hong, 2-0. In the 15th minute, Ömer Halisdemir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ömer Halisdemir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fan Xi Hong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ömer Halisdemir in the 18th minute. Ömer Halisdemir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fan Xi Hong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Ömer Halisdemir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Fan Xi Hong made a huge save. In the 23rd minute Zawisza Bydgoszcz were awarded a corner. Lucjan Marchefka went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Zawisza Bydgoszcz's zone, Cristoforo Volpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kajetan Dec came out of the goal and Cristoforo Volpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute Lukasz Rukszcz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kajetan Dec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Kajetan Dec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukasz Rukszcz in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Zawisza Bydgoszcz getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Mack Oreilly hit a great ball. Kajetan Dec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukasz Rukszcz in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Kazimierz Gaszynski got a free kick in the 39th minute. Kajetan Dec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristoforo Volpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. A hard shot 42 in the game by Ömer Halisdemir from a close distance when the talented Fan Xi Hong managed to make a qualified save. Squadra de Pippe's players were relieved. Squadra de Pippe's Fan Xi Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömer Halisdemir in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Squadra de Pippe got a freekick which was hit by Denis Răducan. Fan Xi Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kazimierz Gaszynski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ömer Halisdemir was the one to do the kick off. If Ömer Halisdemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Squadra de Pippe's Fabio Bosco was substituted for Stanislovas Skripkauskas. Squadra de Pippe made a substitution. Nicu Ichimescu replaced Valérien Derm. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ömer Halisdemir in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fan Xi Hong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute, Lukasz Rukszcz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Zawisza Bydgoszcz were victorious despite being under pressure from Squadra de Pippe for much of the match.
