Rene Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, S.C.CHUÍ's Adalberto Soeiro got a free kick in the 19th minute. Joris Scheer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Rene Higuita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Valencia CF Mindszent's Gábor Joó nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armando Cerezo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Elek Bognár blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Cerezo having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Gábor Joó's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armando Cerezo was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Gábor Joós short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Armando Cerezo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. S.C.CHUÍ's Laércio Vieira was substituted for Caetano Paranaense. Valencia CF Mindszent made a substitution. Dan Beard replaced Silvestre Pacorro. Valencia CF Mindszent's Adolfo Larrauri got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantin Fitos came free, but Armando Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Bartolome in the 77th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Froilan Bartolome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joris Scheer in the 78th minute of play forced Valencia CF Mindszent's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstantin Fitos, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Joris Scheer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Higuita was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. After a defensive mix-up in Valencia CF Mindszent's zone, Joris Scheer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Higuita came out of the goal and Joris Scheer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Armando Cerezo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, S.C.CHUÍ's Carlos Gamarra got a free kick in the 90th minute. 96 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantin Fitos came free, but Armando Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Valencia CF Mindszent had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
