The attack was good, but when Fidel Blunt in the 10th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 14 played minutes Astral got a freekick which was hit by Bartlomiej Chazen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowen Doherty in the 16th minute of play forced Astral's goalkeeper Fabian Hludzenski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Wei Shu Gang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Hludzenski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Hludzenski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wei Shu Gang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Lehen in the 21st minute of play forced Astral's goalkeeper Fabian Hludzenski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartlomiej Chazen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Grêmio Bulls booed when Astral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roch Kochniarczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes Astral got a freekick which was hit by Arnout Verhaert. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Lehen in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Hludzenski saved Astral from getting behind. Wei Shu Gang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fabian Hludzenski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wei Shu Gang in the 40th minute of play. Rowen Doherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Astral's Fabian Hludzenski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Lehen in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Mauro Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Fabian Hludzenski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Falcão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Fabian Hludzenski made a huge save. Grêmio Bulls were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Astral's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sebastião Tróia took the corner. The corner ended in Mauro Sena almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Astral's Fabian Hludzenski did a great save. Astral's Fabian Hludzenski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Prata in the 84th minute of play. Sebastião Tróia hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Grêmio Bulls's Pedrão Prata slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabian Hludzenski. That made the score 0-1 after 87 minutes of play. If Fidel Blunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Ernesto Falcão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Bulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Grêmio Bulls eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
