The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Phillip McKeochan to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 70th minute of the match, David Silva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jesse McJames was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marcos Basso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paddy Thomson in the 71st minute of play. Smiddy Celts's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niklas Lundqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sean McDrain during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sean McDrain hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Niklas Lundqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute Niklas Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse McJames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Niklas Lundqvist notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Smiddy Celts's Jesse McJames. Jesse McJames was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
