After a defensive mix-up in Rayo Violeta FC's zone, Olaf Gall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dunixi Andrade came out of the goal and Olaf Gall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fermin Dolfo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dunixi Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Olaf Gall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Inacio Arria threw the ball into play from the sideline. Yalapa's Reto Knobel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Medardo Barzurqueta to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Fermin Dolfo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dunixi Andrade. Rayo Violeta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fermin Dolfo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Nogueira in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dunixi Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reto Knobel kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Dunixi Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Tome in the 67th minute. After 67 minutes of play, Yalapa's Samuel Tome made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dunixi Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st minute, Leonardo Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yalapa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Dunixi Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonardo Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Leonardo Nogueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dunixi Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Nogueira in the 85th minute of play forced Rayo Violeta FC's goalkeeper Dunixi Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Tome could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Dunixi Andrade made a huge save. In the 93rd minute, Samuel Tome left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yalapa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-12.
