The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Sawino SA were awarded a corner. In the 11th minute, Augusto Cordario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Waclaw Hludzenski notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens. Erwin Huygens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Hludzenski in the 19th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes, Janusz Niedzwiecki made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jasir Tyranov charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 31st minute, Sawino SA's Waclaw Hludzenski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erwin Huygens. Erwin Huygens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. 34 minutes into the match, Waclaw Hludzenski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erwin Huygens. Velez Sarsfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waclaw Hludzenski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Erwin Huygens made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Heintje Alemasov sent off a good shot on target. Erwin Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janusz Niedzwiecki in the 38th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Heintje Alemasov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erwin Huygens. That made the score 6-0 in the 39 minute of play. Borys Lanczak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Cordario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Augusto Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Lanczak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48thth minute of the game Augusto Cordario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sawino SA's Borys Lanczak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

With an all-out effort, Velez Sarsfield's Borys Lanczak threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Javier Pinola, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Erwin Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janusz Niedzwiecki in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Hludzenski in the 62nd minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waclaw Hludzenski, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Augusto Cordario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Borys Lanczak made a huge save. After 84 minutes Velez Sarsfield's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Waclaw Hludzenski who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Waclaw Hludzenski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erwin Huygens quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 85 minutes into the game, Conan Barbarin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Velez Sarsfield's Sun Zhi Zhen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Pinola in the 88th minute of play forced Sawino SA's goalkeeper Borys Lanczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erwin Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janusz Niedzwiecki in the 91st minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Pinola to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes, Sawino SA's Nuno Tasso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erwin Huygens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sawino SA reached it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sawino SA had won after a very even match.
